Main Junction Exhibition Launch

Main Junction is a Drop-in for young people aged 16-25, working in conjunction with Prescap, held an exhibition launch of the work produced during a ceramic project, funded by the Porcelain and Paintes Trust.

It took place on Wednesday 9th July 2008, at Fishergate Baptist Church, Fishergate, Preston.

Nguzo Saba Young Style and Future Heritage Project

Nguzo Saba Centre and Merseyside Dance Initiative presented a spectacular collaboration showcase event at the Harris Library on Saturday 14th June 2008. The event united music, dance and fashion design through analyses of cultural identity in a performance exploring traditions, helping other communities to understand and to conserve it for future generations through original and contemporary works of art.  read more »

New appointment at Preston FM

Prescap is delighted to announce the appointment of Francine Hayfron as Youth Involvement Officer at its Community Radio project, Preston FM.

This is a brand new post funded by V for a three year project aiming to encourage the participation and involvement 16 to 25 year olds, from the Preston area, in Preston FM.  

 

Prescap discusses the benefits and challenges of accreditation for young people in the arts

Prescap ran two facilitated discussions about the benefits and challenges of accreditation for young people in the arts as part of the seminar, "Making an Impact: recognition of the Youth Arts sector's delivery of new government strategies around participation", delivered by ENYAN (English National Youth Arts Network).
